The post positions and early odds are set for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby. The morning line favorite is Bodemeister, at 4 to 1, trained by three-time Derby winner Bob Baffert. Bodemeister will run from post position six.
The post positions and early odds for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby will be set Wednesday evening at a Churchhill Downs ceremony. A maximum field of twenty will run on Saturday. A late entry is Optimizer, trained by four-time Derby winner D. Wayne Lukas.
Kentucky native and 20-year coaching veteran Phil Cunningham will join the Hilltopper coaching staff as an assistant for the 2012-13 season. WKU Head Basketball Coach Ray Harper made the announcement Tuesday. The addition of Cunningham makes Coach Harper's staff complete.
