Owensboro Health to Purchase Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center

Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center

Twin Lakes Regional Hospital in Grayson County is extending its footprint in western Kentucky.

Owensboro Health has signed a letter of intent to purchase Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.  The hospital serves more than 115,000 residents in Grayson and six surrounding counties.  The 75-bed hospital announced last year that it was looking to partner with a larger health system to ensure its long-term viability.

Owensboro Health CEO Greg Strahan said he doesn’t anticipate employees being impacted.

"Their future with the hospital is great, it’s bright," Strahan told WKU Public Radio. "We don’t anticipate any changes in the leadership or the staffing."

The Leitchfield-based hospital serves Grayson, Breckinridge, Ohio, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, and Hardin counties.  Once the deal is finalized this summer, Twin Lakes would become the third hospital in the Owensboro Health system, joining Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
