Not Enough Nursing Educators

By AP

Lexington, KY – A survey of nursing schools by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing shows more than 32,000 qualified U.S. nursing school applicants were turned away last year.
The reason was because there was not enough faculty to teach them. Dean Carolyn Williams of the U.K. College of Nursing says Kentucky admits 50 nursing students each semester seeking a Bachelor in Nursing degree.
She estimates that they turn away more than twice that many.
