Wet Election Day Predicted

By AP

Nashville – Forecasters are predicting a wet election day in Tennessee and Kentucky with a 40% to 80% chance of rain and thunderstorms.
More than a million residents have already voted early in Tennessee, another 2 1/2 million are registered and many will be going to the polls Tuesday.
Election officials and other observers will keep a close watch for voting problems.
Some people complained that in the 2000 election they were barred from voting because they weren't listed on records at their precinct voting places. This time, such people will be allowed to vote and officials will then determine whether to tally their ballot.
