Louisville, KY – The Campaign of Democratic Candidate Tony Miller says
Republican incumbent Anne Northup is spending too much
and promoting herself about meetings on a new Medicare
benefit. In particular, the Miller camp points to a mailing to older
constituents about meetings on the benefit.
Miller says Northup charges taxpayers for what amounts to
a campaign mailer. He is also criticizing the use of glossy
photos in the mailer, including a picture of Northup.
A Northup spokesman says an effort was made to make
the mailer attractive and get the attention of constituents.
Northup's camp says the flier was approved in advance by
a bipartisan commission.
