Ransdell Anxious To Implement Recommendations

Bowling Green, Kentucky – University President Gary Ransdell says Western Kentucky University will move ahead with the eighteen recommendations presented this week by a Campus Safety Task Force. The recommendations include proposals to increase educational efforts regarding the dangers of alcohol consumption, proposals to upgrade emergency phone systems, and a requirement that incoming freshmen should live in single gender residence halls.

University officials say the single gender residence hall recommendation will be implemented in the Fall of 2004. Ransdell says he is very pleased with the work of the Task Force and he stresses that each recommendation will be taken seriously.
