Prior to joining WKU Public Radio, she most recently worked at WHAS in Louisville and WLAC in Nashville. She has received numerous awards from the Associated Press, including Best Reporter in Kentucky. Many of her stories have been heard on NPR.

Two people are deceased from a domestic dispute this morning outside the courthouse in Hardin County. Thirty-seven-year-old Erica Riley of Elizabethtown was pronounced dead in the parking lot of the judicial center. Her mother later died at a hospital from her injuries.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Louisville passing a groundbreaking fairness ordinance. Despite efforts from local LGBTQ+ advocates, Bowling Green remains the largest city in Kentucky without a local ordinance protecting that community from discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations.

A jury has found former Kentucky State Rep. John Tilley not guilty of raping a 21-year-old woman at a Lexington hotel in 2022. His attorneys argued both parties, while intoxicated, consented to a sexual encounter. But prosecutors claimed the alleged victim was too inebriated to give knowing consent.

Former Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis is appealing a ruling that says she must pay damages to same-sex couples who were refused marriage licenses. Her lawyers filed a brief Monday with the U.S. Sixth Circuit of Appeals, asking for the $360,000 judgment to be overturned.
