Kennedy Gayheart
Kennedy Gayheart is one of WKU Public Radio's student news producers. Gayheart is a senior at Western Kentucky University double majoring in Broadcasting and Public Relations. She's a Lexington native and though this is her first semester working as a student news producer, she is excited for the learning opportunities to come.

WKU civil engineering students participate in the American Society of Civil Engineers competition each year. This year, their concrete canoe theme focused on the Kentucky Derby. -
Jerry Bransford is a fifth generation Bransford cave guide. His great-great-grandfathers— Materson Bransford and Nicholas Bransford—were both enslaved men and brought to Mammoth Cave from Nashville, Tennessee, to become two of the park's first African American guides in 1838.
