Stained Glass Series

In September, Skip Cleavinger and Rebecca Baumbach teamed up with organist Ken Stein for Celtic Crossroads: A Journey to Thin Places. It was the latest installment of the Stained Glass Music Series held four times per year at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bowling Green. Deborah Stein provided vocals on one of the pieces during the performance. 

The Stained Glass Series is made possible thanks to Lynn and Dennis O'Keefe and the staff and parishoners at St. Joseph's.

Americana group The Carmonas joined organist Ken Stein on June 19, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bowling Green for the latest installment of The Stained Glass Music Series. This concert was titled "No Boundaries" and joined Americana music with organ pieces written by American composers like Leo Sowerby, Robert Hebble, Calvin Hampton and Myron Roberts.

The WKU String Ensemble joined organist Ken Stein for the latest edition of the Stained Glass Series on Tuesday, March 20 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bowling Green. 

Ken Stein led off the concert with Prelue & Fugue e minor by Johann Sebastian Bach. The WKU String Ensemble followed with Variations on a Theme by Tchaikovsky op. 35a by Anton Arensky, Balzene Suite by Gyorgy Orban. Stein concluded the concert with Bollëmann's Suite Gothique.

The latest installment of the Stained Glass Series took place Dec. 5, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, featuring organist Ken Stain and members and friends of the Christ Episcopal Church choir.

Misty Mountain String Band joined organist Ken Stein for the latest installment of the Stained Glass Series. This concert was recorded on Sept. 26 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. 

Stein is organist/choir master at Christ Episcopal Church in Bowling Green. He's also a member of the WKU Department of Music faculty. 

Misty Mountain String Band, based in Louisville, is composed of Neal Green on fiddle, Derek Harris on bass, Paul Martin on banjo and mandolin and Brian Vickers on guitar.

Sound the Trumpets is a special concert featuring Southern Kentucky Brass and organist Ken Stein. It was recorded in June 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bowling Green as part of the Stained Glass Music Series. The emcee for this concert was Barbara Deeb from WKU Public Radio.
