Brandon Smith is excited to be working for public radio in Indiana. He has previously worked in public radio as a reporter and anchor in mid-Missouri for KBIA Radio out of Columbia. Prior to that, he worked for WSPY Radio in Plano, Illinois as a show host, reporter, producer and anchor. His first job in radio was in another state capitol, in Jefferson City, Missouri, as a reporter for three radio stations around Missouri. Brandon graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Journalism in 2010, with minors in political science and history. He was born and raised in Chicago.

Chris Lehman graduated from Temple University with a journalism degree in 1997. He landed his first job less than a month later, producing arts stories for Red River Public Radio in Shreveport, Louisiana. Three years later he headed north to DeKalb, Illinois, where he worked as a reporter and announcer for NPR–affiliate WNIJ–FM. In 2006 he headed west to become the Salem Correspondent for the Northwest News Network.

Sue Robinson has the distinct honor of being our longest-serving volunteer and one of the very first members of WKU Public Radio. Sue began her service in the early days of public radio, offering her home-baked goodies as a pledge incentive during our early fund drives. For more than 30 years Sue has offered her office skills, cooking talents, pledge drive efforts and more to most any need the station has had.

Cheryl Kirby-Stokes is an enthusiastic supporter of WKU Public Radio, and has the unique distinction of having been a staff member before she became a volunteer. Cheryl served as our Membership Associate, and (among other responsibilities) coordinated our volunteers before becoming one herself! You may talk with Cheryl when you call in your pledge, and benefit from her volunteer work when you receive one of the many program guides she helps us send out each month.

Susie Likes moved to the area over 20 years ago, and went to work right away as a volunteer for WKU Public Radio. Susie is one of our early risers--always willing to take those extra-early shifts during our membership drives. If you've ever called in a pledge first thing in the morning, chances are you've heard Susie's cheerful voice on the other end of the line. She also helps every month as one of the celebrated “label ladies” who make sure we get the program guide to you on time, and is a very loyal member of WKU Public Radio.
