TV Goes To The Dogs At Home Alone
An entity called "DOGTV" launched online in California two months ago and has plans for national distribution. The advertising-free programming is aimed at stay-at-home dogs whose out-to-work masters fret about the separation anxiety their pets suffer, and the trouble they get into, when left unattended for long stretches of time.

India successfully tested a long-range missile Thursday. The rocket is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead as far away as Beijing, and is seen as part of India's nuclear deterrent against the Chinese.

Bahrain To Hold Grand Prix Despite Expected Protests
More than 100 million viewers around the world are expected to tune-in to watch a Grand Prix race in the Persian Gulf nation of Bahrain this weekend. The same race was cancelled there last year for safety reasons, amid Arab Spring protests and police crack downs. While turmoil still exists, ESPN senior writer Ryan McGee tells Audie Cornish this year's race will likely go on, but it won't be without controversy.

The St. Cuthbert Gospel: Looking Pretty Good At 1,300
The St. Cuthbert Gospel was buried alongside its titular saint in the late seventh century, making it Europe's oldest intact book. After a massive fundraising campaign, the British Library acquired the handwritten, leather-bound tome, which is in surprisingly good condition.

Federal Reserve Delays Enforcement of Volcker Rule
The Federal Reserve and other banking regulators have granted banks a two-year grace period to come into compliance with the Volcker Rule. That's one of the provisions of the Dodd-Frank financial overhaul bill passed nearly two years ago. It restricts U.S. banks from making trades that put the bank and depositor funds at risk. But regulators are struggling to iron out the details of those rules.
