Update at 6:30pm: Following two hours of deliberation, a jury of seven men and five women convicted Lindsey Lowe of felony murder, premeditated murder and aggravated child abuse. She was immediately sentenced to life in prison by the judge.
Update at 1:00pm: Closing arguments have concluded. Jury is out to lunch and will begin deliberations thereafter.

A jury in Gallatin, Tennessee will decide Tuesday whether to convict a young woman who killed her newborn twins.
Twenty-six-year-old Lindsey Lowe is accused of smothering the twin boys after giving birth to them in a bathroom of her parents' upper-middle-class home in Hendersonville. Her father, Mark Lowe, testified Monday that he was in such shock after finding a dead baby inside his home that he waited 15 minutes before calling for help. He said no one in the family knew Lindsey was pregnant.
Prosecutors have said she told police she smothered the twins so her parents would not hear their cries. Lowe, who graduated from WKU in 2008, was engaged at the time, although paternity tests revealed her fiancé was not the father of the babies.
Lowe has been free on a quarter-million-dollar bond since the crime in September 2011. Prosecutors claim it was premeditated murder and are seeking a life sentence if Lowe is convicted. Defense attorneys have argued Lowe had a mental impairment.
