Kentucky Associated Press Awards for WKU Public Radio News Reporting

WKU Public Radio received numerous awards at the recent Kentucky Associated Press Broadcasters 2012 Awards banquet at the Galt House in Louisville.

Lisa Autry was named Best Radio Reporter for her body of work over the year. Lisa also received a First Place award for Best Public Affairs entry for her report on synthetic marijuana.

Assistant News Director Kevin Willis received the Best Sports Feature/Special for his report on Russell Athletics' uniform contract with WKU sports. 

WKU Public Radio also received the Best Website award. 

Among other awards, News Director Dan Modlin received a Second Place Award for his coverage of the arrest of two terrorist suspects in Bowling Green and an Honorable Mention for his continuing coverage of the story, and Morning Edition host/news anchor Joe Corcoran was awarded an Honorable Mention for Best Light News Feature for his report on A New Way of Farming.
