Murray, KY – A small engine manufacturer in Murray has announced an expansion that will include a 65,000 square foot facility and 80 new jobs.
Milwaukee-based Briggs and Stratton Company announced Tuesday that the expansion is part of the company's long-range plan. Murray plant manager Rodney Bohannon says other expansions and acquisitions have increased the demand for small engines.
The new facility will be for the company's carburators and fuel systems production, freeing 50,000 square feet of space for another assembly line at its current plant.
Briggs employs just over 1,000 people at its Murray Facility.
