Agriculture Commissioner Calls for Audit

By Dan Modlin/AP

Frankfort, KY – Kentucky's new Agriculture Commissioner, James Comer, says a special audit of his agency is needed to restore public confidence. Comer and Auditor Adam Edelen held a news conference in Frankfort today, announcing plans for such an audit. Former Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer was accused of mis-using funds during last year's election, but Farmer denied those allegations. The findings of the new audit will be released to the public when it is completed.
