Fort Knox Unit Fights, Teaches Afghans

Bowling Green – A Fort Knox unit of some 35 hundred soldiers is officially on the ground in Afghanistan after a series of deployments that began in December. The Third Brigade Combat Team replaced a unit from Fort Campbell. Lieutenant Colonel James Vizzard, a battalion commander, says their mission is more than fighting the insurgency, it's training the Afghan police and army, as well as nation building. He spoke with Lisa Autry.
