Workshop to be held in Somerset to train emergency response volunteers.
Somerset, KY – A free workshop will be held in Somerset Saturday, designed to provide training for volunteers who could help in a possible public health emergency. Organizers of the event say medical and non-medical volunteers are needed. Jessica Gover, a Preparedness Planner for the Lake Cumberland District Health Department says such workshops can save valuable time in the event of an actual public health emergency.
The meeting will be held at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset on July 24th.
