Louisville, KY – Two researchers now working at the University of Louisville recently saw their vaccine for cervical cancer approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The vaccine was invented more than ten years ago, and was held up in patent court. It's believed to be 100% effective against the cancer that kills almost 500,000 women worldwide each year. Dr. Alfred Bennett Jenson talked to Western's Public Radio about the groundbreaking vaccine.
