Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has vetoed a resolution ending the COVID-19 state of emergency he issued in March 2020.The measure would end the declaration a month before it’s scheduled to expire.While the resolution received unanimous support among Republicans in the House and Senate, Governor Beshear called it politics at its worst. He cautioned Kentucky would lose $50 million in federal benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program if the emergency ends before it’s set to expire on Apr.15.
