Sen. Clinton Visits Kentucky

By AP

Louisville, KY – Kentucky Democratic leaders say they hope to raise a quarter of a million dollars when Senator Hillary Clinton visits Louisville for a fundraiser Friday night.
State Democratic party chairman Jerry Lundergan says the visit should energize more than a thousand party faithful.
Some of the state's top elected Democrats are gearing up for the visit, although there is a degree of concern over some perceptions of the former first lady's liberal leanings.
Republicans have been eager to use the event to brand Kentucky Democratic leaders as liberals. A few conservative Democrats say they're uneasy about political appearances.
