The National Weather Service says an EF-1 tornado, with winds topping out at 100 miles an hour, touched down in Clinton County Monday evening
The weather service says the tornado was on the ground for a ½ mile just south of the Russell County border along U.S. Highway 127. It was reported just after 6:15 p.m. central time.
There have been no reports of injuries. Survey crews are still at work, but so far they’ve only reported tree damage.
