Retirement Community Expanding in Bowling Green

Bowling Green will have more options for senior care once an expansion is complete at Christian Care Communities.  Currently, the complex offers a nursing home and independent living apartments.  A $12 million expansion will add units for assisted living, memory care, and short-term rehabilitation.

Christian Care Communities CEO Keith Knapp says the expansion will offer more comprehensive services to the aging.

"It's a continuing care retirement community because it has a menu of living options and support, so somebody can come there and not have to leave if their needs changes," explained Knapp.

The expansion will allow up to 72 more residents and create about 50 jobs.  A groundbreaking will be held on April 20th.
