WKU Public Radio has some changes coming to our weekend programming lineup, aimed at enhancing the quantity and quality of shows our listeners can expect to hear on Saturdays and Sundays!

The decision by American Public Media to halt production of Live From Here has led to some new additions to our weekends, and some changes to when a few current shows air.

Starting Saturday, Sept. 19, our regular Saturday lineup will include an hour of Lost River Sessions Radio, the radio companion to the WKYU PBS series Lost River Sessions; and the music program Mountain Stage.

That means our Saturday lineup will look like this, with all times shown here central:

7:00-9:00: Weekend Edition

9:00-10:00: Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me!

10:00-11:00: Sound Opinions

11:00-12:00: This American Life

12:00-2:00: Barren River Breakdown

2:00-4:00: American Routes

4:00-5:00: Lost River Sessions Radio

5:00-7:00: Mountain Stage

7:00-8:00: The Thistle & Shamrock

8:00-9:00: Jazz Night in America

9:00-10:00: Jazz Happening Now

10:00: Jazz After Hours

Our Sunday lineup will now include the music program Red Barn Radio from 2:00-4:00pm central, in place of the departing Live From Here.

We hope you enjoy the new programs!
