Bowling Green, KY – Officials with the Intermodal Transportation Authority say a groundbreaking
ceremony will be held on Monday, August 25th for the Kentucky Transpark.
Warren County and Bowling Green officials are scheduled to attend the
ceremony, which will begin at 11 a.m. Central time, at the Transpark site in
northern Warren County.
Supporters of the Transpark project say it will eventually create
thousands of jobs in the region, and could make use of truck, rail,
and jet transportation. Some opponents of the project have raised
questions about the environmental and economic impact the facility
could have.
The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public.
