Bowling Green Optometrist Sentenced

Bowling Green, Kentucky – Optometrist Tracie Eads-Mullins has been sentenced to ten years in prison for Medicaid fraud, tax evasion, and theft. The Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control division of the Kentucky Attorney General's Office conducted a lengthy investigation in the case.

Prosecutors say Dr. Eads-Mullins billed thousands of dollars for tests that were never performed. She was also accused of billing for color photographs of the eyes, even though she didn't have the equipment necessary for such photographs.

Probation was denied and she was taken into custody after being sentenced by Warren Circuit Judge Tom Lewis.
