The worst thing you can say about Saturday night's win by WKU over Kentucky is that it was the second biggest victory in Hilltopper football history. The only competition for that distinction is the 2002 1-AA national championship game WKU won against McNeese State.

Big Red in the Bluegrass State: Hilltoppers Win in Overtime at Kentucky

It wasn't easy, but the WKU Hilltoppers made history Saturday night, beating Kentucky on the football field for the first time. WKU blew a 17 point first half lead, but won the game in overtime in dramatic fashion, 32-31. Kentucky scored a touchdown on their first overtime possession, forcing WKU to do the same. After Hilltopper running back Antonio Andrews scored, WKU needed an extra point to tie and go into a second overtime. But Hilltopper head coach Willie Taggart rolled the dice and decided to go for a two-point conversion.
