Prosecutor Ready to Release Results of Brandon Bradshaw Shooting Investigation

A month after an off-duty Warren County court security officer shot a killed another man, details are being released about what led up to the shooting. 

Attorney Alan Simpson says his client Tommy Brown acted in self-defense when he shot Brandon Bradshaw on February 26th in a parking lot on the 31-W Bypass. 

Wednesday at 5 p.m., Warren County Commonwealth’s Attorney Chris Cohron will release results of the Kentucky State Police investigation and whether charges will be filed against Brown.

Bowling Green Man Shot by Court Security Officer Remembered in Candlelight Vigil and Prayer Service

Four days after being shot in Bowling Green, and just hours after being pronounced dead at Vanderbilt Medical Center, 27-year-old Brandon Bradshaw was memorialized at a Saturday night service.

About 300 mourners gathered in the parking lot of Michelle's Boutique on the 31-W Bypass in Bowing Green for the hour long service before processing down the Bypass to Circus Square park for more prayers and speeches. Bradshaw was shot by off-duty Warren County court security officer Tommy Brown in the same parking lot Tuesday afternoon.

Bradshaw was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt just after 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Friends and family members spoke of peace and forgiveness for Brown, while also calling for justice to be done. No charges have been filed against Brown as of Saturday night and his lawyer, Alan Simpson, has told WKU Public Radio his client acted in self defense.

Warren County Man Dies From Wounds Suffered in Tuesday Shooting

Brandon Bradshaw, the Warren County man shot Tuesday by an off-duty court security officer, died Saturday morning from his wounds.

Kentucky State Police have confirmed Bradshaw was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Hospital at 10:10 a.m.

Bradshaw was shot three times Tuesday in Bowling Green by Tommy Brown, a Warren County Sheriff's Court Security Officer.

Brown's attorney, Alan Simpson, told WKU Public Radio Brown acted in self-defense. Kentucky State Police are investigating the shooting. Brown has not been arrested.

Friends of Bradshaw had planned what was being called a "justice march" Saturday evening in Bowling Green. The event has now been changed to a prayer service.

Bradshaw was 27 years old. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
