Gordon To Leave Hilltoppers

WKU guard Derrick Gordon says he's transferring from the school after leading the mens' basketball team in scoring and rebounding on their way to the NCAA tournament this season. Gordon says he wants to move closer to his family in New Jersey but not say what other schools he's considering. Gordon led WKU with 11.8 points and 6.7 rebounds a game.

NCAA Championship Team Headed Home to Wildcat Country

Last night’s championship basketball may have ended late, but that didn’t stop Kentucky supporters from getting up early to get tickets for this afternoon’s Big Blue celebration. Hundreds of fans lined up outside Rupp Arena for the free tickets, including Richie Donworth.

“My wife is an insane UK fan so I’m surprising her with these for later," said Donworth.

Donworth is a native of Ireland and has lived in Lexington for about 10 years. He says winning the title means a lot for the UK program.

Carter and Rice to Play for Hot Rods This Season

Two  former  WKU Hilltopper baseball players will be in uniform for the Bowling Green Hot Rods this season. The single a minor league affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays has announced that  Kes Carter and  Matt Rice are on the 2012 Hot Rods roster.

Carter is a left handed hitting outfielder from Brentwood, Tennessee  and Rice is a catcher who also

earned academic honors at WKU.  Opening Day for the Hot Rods this season is set for Thursday, April 5th.

Former Player Returns to Hill to Lead Lady Hilltoppers

WKU has a new women’s head basketball coach. Former WKU Player and University of Louisville assistant Michelle Clark-Heard was introduced Thursday afternoon as the new leader of the Lady Hilltoppers.
