A record breaking number of voters are registered to cast ballots in Kentucky’s May 22nd Presidential Primary. The total number of eligible voters outdistances the previous mark by more than 35,000. The Secretary of State’s office says the vast majority of new voters registered when they got a driver’s license.
Kentucky Senator Julie Denton says the state's largest private Medicaid company is underpaying and threatening health care providers, and she says lawmakers may kick the company out of the state Medicaid system if the behavior persists.
Six-term Indiana Senator Richard Lugar won't be returning to Washington for a seventh term. Republican State Treasurer Richard Mourdock defeated Lugar in Tuesday's Indiana Republican Senate primary. With 95% of the vote counted, Mourdock was leading Lugar 60% to 40%.
