Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say repairs to the Kennedy Memorial Bridge in Louisville should be finished this week, as the project moves into its final phase of construction.
Paving of the final asphalt surface on the southbound lanes of Interstate 65 is scheduled for this weekend. Southbound I-65 will be completely closed from I-64 in downtown Louisville to I-264 (mile points 136.4 to 131.2). This road closure is scheduled from 7 p.m. EDT Friday, July 20, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 23.
A Louisville firefighter arrested last week after police say they found guns, cash, drug paraphernalia, and 31 pounds of marijuana in his home will be arraigned Tuesday in Jefferson District Court. According to the Associated Press, officers served a search warrant on the home of 45 year old Sgt. Willie McBride Jr. on July 3rd.
