The process of opening the Louisville area to Medicaid competition is underway. Passport Health Plan has run Medicaid in the area for 15 years, but the state has been ordered by the federal government to allow at least one more private operator to do business in the region.
Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say construction work will continue through this holiday weekend on the pavement replacement project in the Louisville area. Crews will be paving the right lane of southbound I-65 between the Chestnut Street overpass and the Watterson Expressway.
The Kentucky Historical Society will dedicate a marker in honor of the western Louisville home where boxing great Muhammid Ali was born. Ali, who was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr., lived in the home with his parents and brother.
