Defensive Effort Leads WKU Men's Basketball Over Brescia

Aleksejs Rostov had a career high 16 points and eight rebounds against Brescia.

A stingy WKU defense held Brescia (Ky.) without a field goal for 13:16 at one point Saturday night at E.A. Diddle Arena, helping the Hilltoppers improve to 4-2 on the season with a 74-46 win over the Bearcats. WKU limited Brescia to just 11 field goals in the game and only four inside the three-point line.

WKU Men's Basketball Beats Depaul in Cancun Finale

Less than 24 hours after a tough loss to Iowa, WKU bounced back to defeat DePaul Wednesday night, 70-61, to take third place in the Riviera Division in the 2012 Cancun Challenge. The Hilltoppers saw 30 of their points come from the reserves, and WKU forced 15 Blue Demon turnovers and held DePaul to just one three-point field goal.

WKU Concludes Cancun Challenge Against Western Carolina

WKU and Western Carolina meet Saturday night at 7:30 PM at E.A. Diddle Arena in the second and final game of the mainland portion of the 2012 Cancun Challenge. WKU defeated Austin Peay in the first game of the Cancun Challenge Tuesday night, and Western Carolina lost at Wichita State Thursday night.
