KY-6: Defense Attorney Challenging Incumbent

Lexington, KY – Jon Larson is a well-known Lexington defense attorney running as the Republican for the Kentucky 6th Congressional District seat. He describes himself as someone who represents the interests of poor people, the handicapped, immigrants, and prisoners.

Larson is challenging incumbent Democrat Ben Chandler.

In Nashville, McCain and Obama spar on economic issues

Nashville, TN – In the second presidential debate, economic issues were not surprisingly front and center. Barack Obama and John McCain met at Nashville's Belmont University, and exchanged differing views on the causes of the current economic turmoil, as well as ideas on what should be done. WKU Public Radio's Lisa Autry was in the Music City debate night, and has this report.

KY-2: Candidates to Debate on Kentucky Educational Television

Bowling Green, KY – The two candidates running for Kentucky's 2nd Congressional District will appear Monday night on Kentucky Educational Television in Lexington for a live debate.

Owensboro Democrat David Boswell will face Bowling Green Republican Brett Guthrie. The two are competing to replace retiring Congressman Ron Lewis.
