Frankfort, Ky – With Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson predicting long lines for Tuesday's election, the spotlight in Frankfort is shining on legislation allowing early voting in future state elections. Kentucky Public Radio's Tony McVeigh has the story.

Frankfort, KY – There are 3,550 precincts in Kentucky, with 2,800 polling locations. On Election Day, almost 15,000 poll workers will staff them. Secretary of State Trey Grayson is expecting long lines.

"If you're in line at 6:00 p.m., you can vote no matter how long that takes. We have seen in the past couple of years, those lines have been an hour to an hour-and-a-half, to two hours long, with that many people standing in line at 6:00 p.m.," Grayson said.

Kentucky Dam Village, KY – In the days leading up to the election, the economy has been the dominant issue in the race between U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and his Democratic challenger Bruce Lunsford. Another issue that is also drawing considerable conversation is energy. In fact, energy issues were discussed at some length during the candidates' final debate last week in western Kentucky.
