Western Kentucky Plane Crash Victim Identified

Authorities have identified the pilot killed in a small plane crash Sunday night near a private airstrip in Western Kentucky.  The body of 46 year old Daniel Woosley of Calhoun was found among the wreckage in a wooded area about a mile away from the airstrip, according to McLean County Deputy Coroner Will Muster.  Federal investigators were expected to be at the scene Monday.

Lisa is a Scottsville native and WKU alum. She has worked in radio as a news reporter and anchor for 18 years. Prior to joining WKU Public Radio, she most recently worked at WHAS in Louisville and WLAC in Nashville. She has received numerous awards from the Associated Press, including Best Reporter in Kentucky. Many of her stories have been heard on NPR.
