Update: An Amber Alert issued in Tennessee has been called off, following the discovery of two abducted children. The brother and sister were found in Maryland.
Original story:
An Amber Alert has been issued for two young children allegedly abducted in central Tennessee. Three-year-old Summer Knasel and 4-year-old Lovell Knasel were taken from their home in Spencer. They were believed to be taken by their non-custodial parents--32-year-old Jeremy Knasel, and 24-year-old Ashley Norberg.
Police say the parents are likely armed with at least one handgun. A black Nissan they were earlier believed to be driving has been located, and authorities now say the subjects are believed to be in a 1987 dark blue Chevy Astro Van. The Tennessee license plate on the Astro Van is 065VKS.
The children were taken from the parents’ custody after it was discovered the mother and father were running a meth lab.
Police ask if you have information as to the whereabouts of the children or parents to contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
