Frankfort – The lawyer for nursing home owner, Tina Conner, says Conner told investigators that a secretary in the Governor's office warned her in advance about a state inspection of her business. The employee is Vicki Brown, an office manager for Andrew "Skipper" Martin, who is Governor Patton's Chief of Staff.
Brown has told the Lexington Herald-Leader the allegation is false. Brown declined to speak to the Associated Press today. Dan Dabney, a consultant who has been managing the Birchtree Healthcare Nursing Home in Clinton, says Conner gave Brown's name to state and federal investigators during a meeting in Frankfort on October 1.
