The Rosine Spring Festival Celebrates Bluegrass Music

Ohio County Tourism Commission

The Rosine Spring Festival is held each year in Rosine, Kentucky at the Birthplace of Bill Monroe, the Father of Bluegrass.  Lee Stott speaks about the event with Renetta Romero, Executive Director of the Ohio County Tourism Commission.

Lee served as WKU Public Radio's Music Director for nearly 30 years, retiring in June 2013. He produced classical music programs in other markets (including Detroit and Salt Lake City) before joining us. For many years he hosted Music In The Morning and Afternoon Concert, and continues to program and host Evening With The Pops. He also produces arts features that air during Morning Edition, and has produced numerous broadcast concerts, including performances by the Owensboro Symphony.
