Patton Seeks to Have Part of Lawsuit Dismissed

Frankfort – Governor Patton says parts of a sexual harrassment lawsuit against him by a western Kentucky nursing home operator should be dismissed. In documents filed in Jefferson County Circuit Court, Patton's lawyers say Tina Conner could not have been the subject of sexual harrassment because she was never a state employee.

The Governor is also asking that the entire case be moved from Louisville to Frankfort. Connor is suing the Governor and state government, claiming Patton provided help for her nursing home during their two-year affair. She also claims Patton sent state regulators after her business when she broke off the affair. Patton has admitted to having the relationship with Connor, but denies using his office to either help or hurt her nursing home.
