The Kentucky Supreme Court today has ruled that guns and other deadly weapons may be stored in a car's glove compartment while on a college campus in the state. The High Court's ruling came in the case of a graduate student from the University of Kentucky.
A worker has died after falling in an Eastern Kentucky mine Wednesday morning. Federal mine officials say the worker fell from a catwalk in the McCoy Elkhorn mine. The mine is located near the Mousie community in Knott County.

A Kentucky Court of Appeals panel Wednesday afternoon is hearing arguments on the legality of the slot machine-like Instant Racing game being used at Kentucky Downs in Franklin and approved for Ellis Park in Henderson. The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission last year approved Instant Racing, a game that lets gamblers place bets on old horse races using a machine similar to a slot machine.
