Fort Campbell, KY – The Army says a Fort Campbell soldier has died from injuries in Iraq.
A statement from the post says Private Lavena Johnson of Florissant, Missouri died yesterday near Balad, Iraq.
Johnson was assigned to the 129th Corps Support Battalion.
A memorial ceremony is planned for Johnson with her unit in Iraq. She joined the Army in September and arrived at Fort Campbell in Fenruary.
The Army said the death was not the result of combat and the cause remains under investigation.

Washington, D.C. – The Justice Department reports it has reached a settlement
of its anti-trust complaint against the Kentucky Real Estate
Commission. The complaint related to fees for broker
services.

Under the settlement filed in U-S District Court in
Louisville, the Commission would stop prohibiting
rebates and cease any enforcement actions against
brokers for offering rebates or discounts. The court
must approve the settlement.
