Louisville, KY – The fate of a former Louisville detective on trial for murder is now in the hands of a jury. Prosecutors and defense attorneys in the McKenzie Mattingly trial gave closing arguments Wednesday morning.
The former Louisville police detective who shot and killed a drug suspect in January said from the withness stand Tuesday that he fired because he felt his life was in danger.
